Most deal with regret and loss. Thanks for telling us about the problem. To me what unites the stories is a certain moodiness as the men od the nature of love in their lives.

scylink I was super hopeful, but not every relationship can be saved. To me, these were appalling comments, especially given that they are in a committed, serious relationship. Schlink’s tendency to also use very elongated plots to convey ideas was a bit annoying, case in point being The Girl with Lizard, A Little Fling and Sugar Peas my least favourite out of them all.
