Deborah Lipstadt prefaces her exploration of Holocaust deniers with an important explanation of why she went ahead with the book, despite her reluctance to engage with deniers on any level. He knows how to speak in monologues only, so debate is superfluous to him.

But this is something they have to do nonetheless. As a history of a fringe movement, this is an important book. Luckily there are not many of it, unfortunately their “logic” makes one want to rip ones hair off based on stupidity. Yet there are those who insist that the death of six million Jews in Nazi concentration camps is nothing but a hoax perpetrated by a powerful Zionist conspiracy.

We owe a great deal to Deborah Lipstadt for her endless work and research in bringing these dreadful people to the world’s attention. It was published inand in Irving sued Penguin Books and the author for libel.
